Outdoor kitchen hatch leak

We are having an issue with our outdoor kitchen hatch leaking to the point that the water damage is starting to affect the hatch door. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so how did you fix it? I have caulked around the top of the hatch however this is not helped with the problem. I am now considering caulking around the hinge. If this doesn't work, I am fearful that we will have to replace the door. Looking for ideas/recommendations. Thank you.

That is a great fix. Thank you very much for sharing. Where did you find the rubber flap and how did you attach it?

Flap is just a piece of thin rubber I had , think is is a roofing material. Dont need gutter , just a piece of trim that is on trailer between alum skirt and fibre glass siding .

I noticed the same this spring on my 2014 26rb reserve. The foam core was gone in a part of the lower corner. The source was the hinge, which they had not calked in manufacture. I rebedded the door hinge, drilled a few 0.25" holes on the inside of the door in the lost foam core area and injected low expansion foam into the void. I used plywood and clamps to keep the thickness as the foam expanded and cured. Holes were then covered with white silicone.

No leaks and the door is solid again.

I should add that one of the lift strut mounts on the door was also loose . Likely from the water leak. While I had the door off I also put holes in the area of the strut Mount and injected epoxy into this area to strengthen it and give a solid spot for the screws. Then remounted the strut.
