Oxidized Front Cap

We own a 2013 Crossroads Cruiser 5th Wheel. In general, we're pleased with it but within a couple of years, the front cap began lookin dull. I thought I just needed to wax it. That didn't help. I started experiment with different waxes, mild rubbing compounds, etc. Nothing helped. Now it is so dull and grey looking (on a brown camper) that it's embarrassing! Does anyone know what to do to bring the front cap finish back?!?

This issue is a recurring issue on this forum...There have been many fixes suggested over the last several years...I had the same problem and tried a lot of them...Finally I had the cap painted and have not had to do any more than just normal maintenance (wash & wax?) to it and the bugs come off easier as well...So it comes down to the question of cost versus manpower and time...
