I purchased a Patty O Room for my CF30QB and while reading the installation instructions saw that they require you to drill several holes into the side of the camper to install clips that attach the side walls to the camper itself. I am not too happy about drilling holes into the side of my camper. Has anyone done anything different. I was thinking some type of super strong velcro. Any help would be appreciated.

Also anyone have any experience with the Patty O Room, good or bad. I purchased it because I have a special needs son and we just wanted one more barrier to keep him contained in case he were to slip out the door if we were not watching (thathas not happen and we hope it never does). I installed a hook/eye on the screen door to keep him from opening, but we are not taking any chances. ThanksEdited by: trevordog

I think the indusrial strength velcro sounds like a good idea. Use it liberally and it should hold the sides.

I had one on my cruiser, and I hope you have better luck with it than I did, a gigantic pain to put up, I used velcro, I was not about to put holes on thsides of a new camper, for a weekend out they are way more work then they are worth, as far as I am concerned, if your going to be somewhere for a week it may work, but when I go storm kicks up you better move fast, I got caught in a storm and I thought for sure I was going to lose the awning, that was the last time we ever used it, infact I think it's back in the box and I threw it up in the loft of my barn....this is just my opinion, you would be better off with a free standing screen room, this way if a storm blows in you have lots less to lose....good luck with your choice..
