Question Paying to inflate tires??

I was talking to my neighbor and he told me that when he got his 5th wheel inspected this month, they charged him $20 to check and inflate all 4 tires. I couldn't believe they charge for this.

When I took my 5th wheel in for service this week, to another dealer, I asked them do they charge to check and inflate tires. They gave me the same answer. $20 to check and inflate.

Has anyone else had to pay for this at their rv service center?

If your tires are filled with nitrogen, I could see them charging to check and top them off.
Most places that I know of charge $20 per tire to fill with it when you replace the tire.
Sounds like a racket if you ask me... Is nitrogen really that expensive?

Wow...nope, never heard of that.
Sounds like I've found my next job, $20 for what, 15 mins of work?

Tell them you'll pay the $20 per tire, but they have to use a hand pump. Make them earn it.

Our dealer charges for nitrogen but not for plain old air. That is crazy.

Tire guys here charge about 5-6$ per tire for nitro. But free to top up afterwards... If your dealer wants to charge you 20 to check and fill with air . tell them you will do it yourself...it is not that hard to do and everyone should know anyways. just saying.

Harley, I wouldn't pay anyone even a $1 to inflate my tires. I'm too cheap.
