Please read !!!

Ok everyone I'm going to rant for a second. When you post to ask a question or need advice and we take our time to post to try to help you. Don't just go away and never respond. Have the decent courtesy to post back with at least a thank you or update the post that your problem was solved. That just erks the crap out of me. Have a wonderful day.

Yes I know that people come to the site ask a question and never come back and I guess I shouldn't expect a thank you in today's world. Forgive me I just had to rant to get it off my shoulder. I feel better now. Lol

Papa T, some people are going to be rude no matter what. I 've stopped being irked. It's kind of like playing in the mud with the pig..... BTW thanks for your advice around here.

I was trying for humor not being rude if that was directed at my comment.

I agree with you.

Something to consider though, many posters are gearing up for a trip and ask questions to fix/clear up an issue the last day or two before leaving. I for one didn't respond to a post until I got home a month later from the trip.

I work in technology and when I go on vacation the laptop stays home.

Mark, not to steal the thread, but how, in today's world, do you leave without a laptop? Or at least a tablet/smartphone? I wouldn't dare give up access to my financial accounts, email/FB to family, etc? I'll go days without turning them on, but I would feel vulnerable without the connectivity.

Btw; according to the dictionary it is: erk
[urk]
noun British Slang.
an aircraftsman of the lowest rank in the Royal Air Force.
a worthless, stupid person; jerk. Also it can be spelled: irk
[urk]
verb (used with object)
to irritate, annoy, or exasperate:
Your Welcome

I have a dictionary phone app and it states the both "erk" and "irk" are what are called "homophones", that is two words that sound the same but spelled differently.

See, I have phone apps for everything.

Now that I've completely derailed the topic.
