Propane leak

So my wife smelled propane and found there is a hissing coming out of this hole in the propane regulator. When I turn off the tank it stops. Nothing is on in the camper for propane appliances so it’s just draining the tank. Any idea why this is leaking out the hole? Need to be replaced?

I had a one leak through that little hole a long time ago, and if memory serves me right it was shot, and I just replaced it. Better safe than sorry, especially if you have to drive an extra 50 miles to get a replacement when your camping out in the middle of nowhere..

How do I know the model? I tried Googling the number on the regulator showed in the pic attached, to no avail.

I would take it to a propane dealer, they should be able to identify the BTU's or closet lb. rating...Or you could call M B Sturgis at 888-291-6665

Call MB Sturgis this morning. They are sending me out a replacement, I assume no charge as they didn't ask for a CC # and said it'd be to me in a couple days.

Free is always better...Much better than having to pay at the propane dealer...

Replace it as it has failed internally. .
