I am out camping for the first time in my life with my new CrossRoads RV.
Problem: Propane and Electric Water heater not working
Reason: I turned on water heater for 5 hours with 0 water in it, pretty sure I fried the electric one.
Yesterday the propane heater turned on no problem, today it does not turn on, does not click click click, does not turn on with long lighter. So it seems like no propane is getting there or no spark.
What I did:
I confirmed there is propane as my stove inside works
I checked the fuse in the panel of the propane heater controls
Any solutions?

If your trailer is new, then I suggest that you take it back to the dealer for warranty work. The electric heater element is undoubtedly toast and you'll probably have to pay for it's replacement, but the gas portion of the WH may be a warranty issue.

I know I pooched the electric one, I just find it odd that propane heater worked yesterday and not today, my RV is 250 miles away from dealer

New development:
Came back with fresh propane tank, it started right up so I let it be, came out 20 minutes later and it's off so I now it's not a fuse issue or low propane issue, anyone have any ideas?

Hot Water is good, now just draining pink fluid from pipes to have clear water. RV was winterized. Also learned where the grey water tank was since my sinks where not draining either LOL

Well Lenny, it sounds like you are out having fun with the new camper, and learning how things work at the same time. Good deal.

You can buy the water heater element (1500 watts/120v) at Ace or online. You will need a large wrench or 1-1/2" socket to replace it. Pretty simple.

Yep, runs long enough to get the water hot(scalding hot dern it) and turns off.
I sorta understand about the element in the hot water heater. We went out camping and had full hookups. Got everything squared away. That afternoon I happened to look in the power panel and saw the water pump was turned on(no water in the water tank, not needed). I asked and the DW said she did it so we would have running water. Now this is not a newbie, we have had bumper pulls, class a' and now a 5er.It only ran about 6-7 hours dry.
Sigh.

I should of updated but I figured it out with the help of and trailer mechanic that was parked 2 over LOL
The reason the propane was intermittent is because the water was already hot, come to find out I did NOT fry the element at all. The reason I was not getting hot water out of thefaucet is because a valve had been left off...DOH!
Anywhoo it's all fixed and I was very happy to get a warm shower...
Another lesson learned is don't wear your good sneakers while draining your sewer pipe just in case you happen to spill some on said sneakers...Makes for a long drive home

OH BOY Lenny, it sounds like you are getting your initiation in to camping all in one trip!! At least you seem to be keeping your sense of humor thru it all.
Glad to hear it all turned out OK.

Learning is what its all about. This weekend we lost our hot water and I learned what a thermal cut off is. My only issue was that I couldn't learn this until I got home. We had no wifi and no cell phone service at our campsite. We went most of the weekend boiling water for dishes and using the park showers . Thank god for sandals.
