Puddles in slide room after rain

Hi all,

Looking for some help here. Taking my trailer in next week, but after our last few heavy rains, I went out to the trailer and opened the rear slide to find two puddles inside at each side of the slide box.

My question is, should I be worried the water came in during the rain, or is it possible it is running off the slide and pouring in when I push the slide out?

There was probably some water on the roof of your slide that got in during the rain and was pushed off onto the floor when you moved the slide out. I had a couple of times that water got in on my large slide as well. Not every time, but once in a while. make sure your slide roof is free of all debris before bringing it in. I would have to get on the roof and sweep it off. last thing I did to fix it, was install a slide topper. Never had water on the slide roof again

hmm..

slide topper...got it...

thanks !!!

I was thinking...which is dangerous..

If I get a wireless tailgate camera and temporarily wire it inside the trailer and watch it during a rain storm...

I had a similar problem and it turned out that while my slide was in, water would leak through the seal. My advice would be to have someone simulate rain with a garden hose while somebody else watches from the inside. My dealer was able to resolve the problem with a bit of sealant and no leaks ever since. The slide topper will probably be on my list of purchase during the off season.

Thanks, it doesn't leak when the slide is out. Only happens when slide is in during rain.

We have water coming in from the slide over the kitchen. We have had numerous trips to the dealer to have fixed and also slide topper installed but nothing seems to be working. Anyone have suggestions?? Getting very frustrating now.

Had the same problem with my main slide. Took it back to dealer last week. He said there was a screw on the slide box that was pushing up against the bulb seal on the top ....... preventing a proper seal between the slide and the seal. I looked at it before I took it in and couldn't see anything wrong. We have since had some rain, but not heavy, and no leak yet. Fingers crossed!

Where the rubber roof is taped to the outside edge of the slide
Inspect the tape to see if its bubbled or wrinkled or just not sticking 100%
Water will get under it and run on the inside of your trailer when the slides are in I can post a pic if someone needs it.
But just look to see everything is flat and secure

I think you have a slide/seal problem. No way should water enter your unit under any circumstances. I spent the last week in Arkansas under daily heavy rain...no water anywhere inside.
