I have seen a lot of negative issues on the forum. I am just wandering do I stop looking at the st270bh or do I start looking into the Kodiak trailers . I know all camper will have problems but do I need to stay away? Thanks in advance for any and all opinions and advice you can give..

We are sold on Crossroads products. ANY brand will have issues, but we are confident enough to have bought a 2nd Zinger travel trailer.
We considered a Sunset Trail 290BH or 29QB, but liked the Zinger layout better.

I can only speak from personal experience...and our experience has been a very positive one with our 2014 trailer. No major issues and it seems like a quality product that is built to last.
In general, my advice would be to look at MANY before you make your decision. I wouldn't rule out any specific makes or models based on what you read online. Rather take that information with you and keep it in the back of your mind when you are actually walking through and checking out the product first hand.
Just my 2 cents.

Good experience with Crossroads. Our Rv has had very few issues. they were fixed by our dealer in a few hours and had other replacement parts shipped directly to me within 1 week of talking to them. (new radio and bed strut)

We have also had a good experience with Crossroads. The one problem we had they took care of free of charge even though the warranty had expired. I think one of the most important things to look at when buying any RV is buying it from a good dealer.Good luck on your decision.

Love ours too, and any contact with Crossroads has been great. I think the Sunset line is probably about the biggest bang for your buck on the market. Many manufacturers have been copying to catch up like Jayco with the WhiteHawk line. Do a search on Kodiak on RV.NET many issues lately.

The best advice is what many have said, find a good dealer that stands behind their customers after the sale. We have a great dealer and have had two great cruisers.

Thus far, we have been very satisfied with Crossroads. We had a strut issue on our outdoor kitchen and they replaced the entire door assembly when we went to the factory after the rally. They also installed our missing bumper mount for the grill w/o question. We are considering a Sunset in the future and particularly like the ST32RL for a TT or the SF32RL or SF34RK for a 5er.
Good luck in your search. I agree with the other owners that the dealer is probably the most important consideration in the long run.

Hi tkinley8193,
How does your Tundra 5.7 tow? We have the 4.6 engine and are looking to upgrade. TIA

I like the way it pulls . I pull a 05 coachman now that weighs about 4500 lbs and I get 12 mpg pulling and 18.5 empty it has a six speed trans in it It is stout for a gas engine .

Thks for the replies I'll be towing with a 2013 ram1500 Laramie so seeing as you were towing with f150 not a lot of difference there I shouldn't have much of a problem towing the only issue I had was my truck didn't have a factory trailer brake control so there's another 500$ but oh we'll it is what it is

Depending how handy you are... I have a top-o-the line Tekonsha I've been too lazy to throw on the classifieds. My F150 came with an integrated controller, so not going to need it.
