Rear window soft spot.

So my friend has a 2015 28’ 5er Cougar. He discovered he had a leak at the rear window and the lower corner window has a soft spot in the wood the size of your hand. So, my question is; wouldn’t he need to replace the whole rear back wood piece to correctly fix the window area? That’s all the info I have right now.

Ted, that's a hard question to answer without pictures or seeing it in person.

I don't think he will know until he opens it up to see whats in there.
Could be the whole rear end is rotten. (worse case scenario)
