Refrigerator

We recently went camping for the first time since purchasing our "new to us" 2013 Crossroads Cruiser. Everything went great but was wondering if it is normal to have to hold the glass above the bottom drawer while pulling it out. Haven't had this happen in any other camper. Thanks for any comments

My camper has a Norcold refrigerator. The glass shelf in the bottom above the drawer stays in place when I pull the drawer out. The next time I go in the camper, I'll check to see what holds it in place.

I have a Norcold as well, and the glass slips in and out in a track just above the drawers. There is a vertical bracket that prevents the glass(and wire shelves) from sliding out of the grooves unintentionally. Either you vertical bracket is missing or perhaps you have a Dometic.

Our has a Dometic and the wife says the glass does not move.

Do you know the make and model of the refrigerator? That would help us help you.

Ours is the same as Stan's. If you have a Norcold, there should be a grove for the glass shelf to rest in.

I had to remove my Norcold refrig to replace the 120v heating element. The glass shelf didn't slide out when we opened the bottom drawer, But, now it does. I took all the shelves and drawers out. These answers to your post suggest I need to take a look and see if I put it back incorrectly.

Be safe,
Dustin

We have a Norcold and the glass does not move when we pull the drawer out, but it does come out easily when I pull it out to clean it...
