Darn!!!

Leaving for Colorado and our Dometic two door refrigerator (not one on recall list) won't light. Hubby had trouble getting it to light earlier in week but it did light and since we had not been out this year we weren't worried, Now it refuses to even make the clicking noise that lets me know it is tryong to light and the check light does not come on even though it is not working. Any ideas????

Thanks

Does it work in electric mode? If not, then check for a blown 12V fuse since that is critical for both propane and electric modes. If electric is ok, but you aren't getting a clicking noise, then either the igniter or igniter circuit board are likely bad. But it could also be a corroded contact with the circuit board or going to the igniter, so all of those connections should be disconnected and the contacts cleaned.

On my last RV (prior to the Cruiser) i was able to use a long stem match to light the propane pilot in the flame chamber. It at least got me through a weekend of traveling. If it lights, it might help isolate the real problem.

It works on electricity and after it cooled down the gas did light. We are taking it for a test drive today to see if the gas will work after driving. We won't have electricity everywhere that we camp in Colorado and are leaving Sunday. Really appreciate everyone taking the time to answer.

Of course, not meant to offend anyone--but I know how things can happen, the tanks have plenty of propane in them?

Try bleeding air from the lines by lighting the stove first..then attempt to light the fridge. Always works for us..

Ditto on lighting the stove first, especially if you have had your tanks turned off for a while. It takes a minute or more to get gas to a stove burner when the tanks have been off for a while.
