Removing Waterproofing Substance from Siding

A couple of years ago a person rubberized the roof on his RV that was parked next to mine. When I discovered that he had splattered the substance onto my unit, the substance had dried.

A long interchange with the insurance company ensued. Not long after, we moved the unit to a safer storage area. The substance has not yet been removed, though.

Some tiny spots will buff off with a soft cloth, but the larger splotches seem impervious to gentle methods of removal. Is there are method I can use to get the spots off without endangering my siding?

Thanks.

You can try a product called "Goof Off". https://goofoffproducts.com/
Not sure it will work, but worth a try.

I’ve used goof off before but not on a camper. Try on a small area first.

Try WD40 the original...I use it for removing tar & bugs from my car and truck, it might remove the substance you are trying to remove...

Same here. You might have to let it soak for awhile.
I had some pine sap that hardened on my truck before I got to it. Tried WD-40. denatured alcohol, paint thinner, finally went to lacquer thinner and let it penetrate. It took it off and didn't harm the finish. Did have to re wax that area tho.

WD40

Thanks, everybody. I just read that WD40 can be used to help with the removal of those decals, too! I will try it on the drips!
