So you have a ladder attached to the back? That is usually the easiest way. Otherwise, get up there and press on it. Mine isn't walkable and it's really obvious.

Aside from the obvious answer: Try walking on it and if you fall thru, it probably isn't walkable.

Besides that, a roof access ladder is probably the key, No Ladder, No Walkie. At least I wouldn't be attempting it.

I polish and wax our trailer every year and I place some plywood sheets up top so I can access the front of the bubble, if I happen to place a knee on the roof (not on the plywood) I can hear the distinctive sound of plywood cracking. There are a few places this doesn't occur but I think those are where the roof stringer (joists, ribs) run.

Mine isn't walkable either, but walk on it whenever I have to. How else are you going to wash it or install solar or do upgrades. Walk where the aluminum rafters/crossbars are and use commonsense. Was just up on mine a few weeks ago washing off the Aphid honeydue with the pressure washer that turned my rubber roof black, and pretty much the complete trailer black, at the seasonal. Something I knew nothing about, and will never happen again. Thank God for pressure washers, 3 tanks of gas, and 4 hours, but the trailer is again looking like a trailer.
