? Roof conditioner

Been in our Rushmore 2 years now. Thought I better condition the roof. Taking all suggestion. Just finished detailing the outside this week. Removing water spots. 303 the decals. Wax on...Wax off...ugg

Gary, unless they have changed their recommendations, I don't think you have to use a conditioner on the roof. Just wash it periodically.

In fact, they use to tell not to use one.

That's the word I've heard, too. Spic and Span (found liquid at WalMart, not the old fashioned powder). Scrub brush on a stick and a pressure (not power) rinse. CW recommends a conditioner, but Crossroads does not. To me, those conditioners are like Armor All. Once you start using it, you have to keep using it or it gets faded. Once clean and dry, get back up there with a tube of Dicor Self-Leveling Lap Sealant in your caulk gun!

I believe there is a section in our Document section on roof maintenance and it states:
Quote:
Alpha's membrane is quite inert and will resist weathering well. It does not require the periodic application of products to protect it from ultra-violet light or ozone. In fact, these products can often cause damage to the roof membrane.

If you have just spent all that time and energy waxing the sides of your trailer, I CERTAINLY would not use spic an span on the roof!
You will be one unhappy camper if you do.

Just took my brush & hose and scrub it down. Rinsed sides off. Good as new.
