This is our 2nd year of owning this caliber of a TT, so I am looking forward to this outcome. I was on the roof this spring and only found a couple areas of caulking I want to deal with this fall. At that time I will at least clean it but I am curious of the consensus from this poll. This would help decide what I do for preventative maintenance. When we had older pop ups we just cleaned it with hose/water once in a while. Different style of roof though.

On my previous tt it was a 2008. I had it washed an waxed every spring and fall and the roll on roof coating done as well. In 6 years we never had a roof issue. This was with the trailer baking in the sun here in SoCal the whole time. I did have to replace the vent covers skylight and awnings as the uv rays ate them up

We had a SOB fifth wheel for six years. Had the Dicor roof. Just cleaned and caulked as needed. No issues. Rushmore has the Alpha Ply. Cleaned and had my service company inspect and caulk during annual inspection. Last time I was up on roof, I saw a couple places that will need attention when it gets cooler. IIRC, Alpha systems recommends a special caulk.

Looks like cleaning with a cleaner will be the plan during winterization. How about getting a poll for which cleaner??

When this poll ends, I might do that. In fact, anyone can post a pole.

I never clean my roof, except when it is time to renew it with Plas-T-Cote rubber roof coating to extend its lifespan. At that time I clean it with mild soap and water, check all seals and recaulk as needed, cover any weak looking areas with Eternabond, then paint the entire roof with the coating.

Rick, I'm curious why you are treating your roof with Plas-T-Cote rubber roof coating? If you still have the RV that's in your sig. which should have the EPDM roof, they don't recommend using any type of treatment other then cleaning.
