We just bought a 2013 crossroads Cruiser Aire Travel Trailer. We need to purchase insurance. Being new to RVs can anyone help us with what features are important to have and any companies you could recommend. We just joined good Sam.
I purchase mine from the insurance company that insures my house, truck, car, motorcycle - get good glass coverage. Had a claim a couple of years ago and the insurance company took care of it without any questions - had a motor home for 13 years and went back to a fifth wheel - didn't turn properly and hit the side of a deliver truck - about $5000.00 worth of damage and took 1 1/2 months to complete the repairs - getting parts from the manufacture took the longest.
We used same as our auto/home (State Farm). Big thing to remember - insurance covers while parked. When in motion, it typically falls under your tow vehicle's policy.

ewbldavis, small correction. The physical damage (comprehensive and collision) cover the trailer all the time. Liability coverage for the trailer extends from the tow vehicle only while being pulled.
