I was at the storage lot today putting some things in the trailer, and I saw my sewer hose sitting in the front storage area. I looked around, and either I need an eye exam, or there is no dedicated storage for it on this trailer. Do my eyes fool me? This seems like it must be a mistake on my part, because I sure wouldn't just throw that thing in with our chairs and stuff after use. But if it is the case, how would you go about mounting a pvc tube to the underbelly, since it is closed in? Or is there a better option?

lenny, as you can see by my sig we have a Paradise Pointe 36SK, and ours has a bumper tube (not sure about yours), but I added an additional holder using an 8' long 5" PVC post sleeve by drilling 3/4"access holes on the bottom side of the sleeve at the frame width locations and attached the sleeve with Tek screws (self drilling) using a long shank driver on my cordless drill. Worked like a charm. The access holes also allow air to circulate in the sleeve to keep it dry. I attached post caps (purchased with sleeve) by drilling holes through opposing lips and inserting clevise pins.

I have aTT and the rear bumper is the holder for the hose but bumper is to small with fittings attached. I attached a 5 inch plastic pipe to the under carriage and used the large hose clamps to attached it the the spare tire metal brackets. There was a thread last year from a 5th wheeler and he used the square fence posts, and it looked great. Also I have seem some guys attach this extra pipe to the bottom of their bumper.

I use a plastic bin with a lid. This helps to keep everything contained and makes it stackable in the basement. I have considered the plastic pipe attached to the trailer also.

I use the same setup as Delqcc has but I went with a piece of sewer drain field PVC pipe since it already had the holes drilled in it for air flow. I keep the 20' section we use all the time in there and an extra 30' of hose in a plastic storage bin in the basement as Virginia Campers stated he does.

How i did mine.
Rhino flex
Normal 4" pvc with screw in end camps.
File off little thumb tabs of the rhino ends so they fit in. Don't need the anyways.
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...dstoafit-1.jpg
Drill holes in the end caps so if they get stuck you can use anything to get off.
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...crossholes.jpg
Bought some 5 or 6" hose clamps and some angle brackets.
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...0622081854.jpg
Mounted angle brackets to side gussets underside
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...0622081955.jpg
Mount PVC on the angle brackets using the hose clamps
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...0622081923.jpg
Nice and snug fit. Not exposed that much. Looks good under there. Another view

Rear Access

Front Access
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...0622081920.jpg

Did i mention i used 4" PVC? . It holds Two 15' sections. Carrying 30' worth.. The only catch with the 4" is i had to file off the little thumb flats on the ends to fit in the glued on ends. And i used Rhino. Not sure if other types of hoses will allow it. Then i just popped a phew holes in the bottom and top for drainage and venting. I think i did it for less than $50.

Dan, I am using the same setup you have and I use the red Valterra fittings. I did not have to file the fittings to be able to screw the end cap on. I used this setup on the old Cruiser for 4 years and it was one of the first projects I did on the PP.

I don't remember doing that on my Motorhome sewer hose ends(Filing) I think it is that Rhino has bigger ends. Beginning of Last year was the first time i have used Rhino. (love it so far). had the same set up on my Motorhome except is was under the rear going width wise near the hitch. I also bought more 4" pvc that i cut sliced sideways to make gutters to sit the sewer hose in to support sag on the site on long runs. I keep them in the rear bumper.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I still can't beleive they would just throwthe hosein the basement, "you figure it out!" But, it seems like it will be a pretty straightforward fix. I'll have to have a look and see where I can secure it, but I like the idea of running it lengthwise in front of the dump hookup.

Well, after closer inspection, there are 2 places I can mount a section of PVC pipe. I can go Right behind the sewer dump, parallel to the axles. or I can go behind the second axle. I wanted to go lengthways from the front to the sewer dump, but the sides of the trailer are closed in (see my sig pic) Either way, it will be 6.5-7 feet long. and kind of a PITA to get at. So I put the sewer hose that I bought (to replace the joke that came with the trialer) and a couple fittings and a 50" garden hose in a square plastic tote and put it in the basement storage. I think this will work ok for me as long as I flush thoroughly with clean water before puttingthe hoseaway. Edited by: lenny

We have a couple of the Rubbermaid plastic totes in the front storage area that I keep several things in. I took a 3/4 hole saw and drilled several holes in the tops to allow for ventilation andso any moisturecould get out.

I have a dedicated bucket. Does not take up much room...and when the hose is dirty.....I just drop in the bucket.....take it home....clean /sterilize hose and bucket...then return to bucket for next use.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />

This works very well for me.
