Sidewall Construction

On my 2012 Sunset Trail RE30 I would like to install a couple of wall clothes racks on the left and right side of the bedroom just before the windows about 5 foot high. Does anyone know the layout of the studs (are they wood or metal) in the walls in this area? I have attempted to use a stud finder but I am not comfortable with the readings it is giving me. As per my picture, it appears there is a stud around 56" from the closet, but my stud finder does not show any others. My fear is that where the wall feels firm and I plan to drill may actually be some type of styrofoam insulation that would not hold appropriately and possibly damage the seal in the walls.

Studs in a camper are nothing like studs in a home. Campers have notriously thin walls. I think I'd find a bunch of sticky hooks and roll with that.

The walls are 2" square aluminum framed. if you don't trust the stud finder, an easy way to find stud is to use a very thin finish nail about 4" from the floor to test. The hole will be small and easy to fill in with some matching wax stick.

I appreciate the fellow campers comments. I just could not bring myself to put holes in the outside walls, so since we took down the TV in the bedroom, it was supported by hardwood so I added the wall coat rack where the TV was on the outside bathroom wall. Also added a small fan on the TV mount. Worked great, happy wife, happy life!

Good job, but I was referring to the inside wall.

We also use a fan where the bedroom tv is supposed to mount. 365 days a year fan club.
