Unless something has changed since we bought our PP Randy @ Crossroads advised me to soak the gears and rails good with WD40 and run them in and out a few times and you are good to go for 3 to 6 months.

From what I had been reading; the dry lube is desired as not to attract dust and grime, but from what I experienced in using the entire contents of the can on my main slide, it gave NO indication that it did anything to any of the mechanical parts what-so-ever.
I am thinking that I will purchase a good quality silicone spray or even give the stand-by WD-40 a try; I know it works wonders.
Although Lippert instructs not to lube the slides, after a couple of years it is necessary. I have been using motorcycle chain lube (I'm an old dirt racer) that goes on as a foam then "dries" to a grease like film. I don't drive on gravel so I just let it soak, run the slide in and out a couple of times then wipe the excess off. I always make sure to get all the shaft rotating bearings and gears a really good coating.
