recently purchased a 2001 prep series 30fks and all was working fine until we went to close up the slide last night. It worked fine when we brought it home and opened it, however, we can't get it to close. We check the breaker, made sure the battery was charged and we still get no power at the switch..Everything else inside is working properly. I know that I have read that there are possible fuses in the line from the battery, so we did find a fuse about 2 feet from the hitch, we check ed and it was not blown. Can you please give me some other areas to check out. I am new to camping and appreciate the help..We were able to close the slide manually..Thanks

Glad you got it closed manually as THAT can be problematic as well! I would try to check the wiring from the switch back to the converter box and then check your fuses again. Others will chime in throughout the day.

Can you hook to shore power wait a few minutes then try and bring the slide in? If your battery is a weak it will play strange games on the various systems.

If you want to absolutely veriy whether it is a battery issue you can disconnect a house battery lead and plug your TV into the camperand check the slide operation with the engine running. At least that is how my Seville works. Disconnecting the battery will remove the possibility it has a dead cell or some such thing.

Tom, If you have a volt meter you may want to check the battery with it. It should be 12.7 volts or abovewhen fully charged after it has stabilized for about 24 hours with no load and no charging.

The other thing you can do if you haven't already, is to check the continuity on the fuses. Sometimes they can be bad even when they don't look like they are burned out.

X2 on checking continuity with meter. I too have seen that a number of times.
