SPAM is still here

It looks as if SPAM is still with us (mum001). I have 2 questions: Why can't it be stopped, or maybe I should say, How can it be stopped; and 2) What was so wrong with the system before it got changed?

Yes, it is here almost worse than ever.Spammers appear to be able to post multiple duplicate posts and multiple spam posts over a several hour period. It is getting old fast.

My belief is, until CR implements a different/better spam control program, and enlists the help of dedicated, level headed forum members as moderators, this will be what we'll be wading thru. Especially on weekends. Seems the spammers are well aware of the fact that isn't any monitoring here on weekends and holidays.
