stabilizer jacks

Hey All:

Would guess this has come up before, but I am curious to know what some of you folks think about knowing when your stabalizer jacks are lowered to the correct position.

I imagine this is a "feel" kind of thing and that most people have their own technique, but as a newbie and having camped four times now, I always wonder if I got it right. Regardless of what I have tried, we still get a bit of bounce when someone is walking inside the trailer.

We are getting ready to head south next week and greatly appreciate the input.

Merry Christmas!

Is it bounce or is it rock? My wife complained about the same issue and we finally invested in a set of X-Chocks and that pretty well eliminated the movement we were having.

Stabilizer jacks can't and don't eliminate the bounce and movement of the trailer. They are just stabilizers.
I don't know if you have the electric or manual jacks. I have the manual and I crank them down pretty hard.

The best investment you can make to eliminate the movement is to install a set of stabilizers. There are several brands on the market. This is what I installed, and it virtually eliminated the movement.
