I recently posted that our slide out wasnt working.,,we disconnected the battery and tried using a generator and still cant get it to open...we encountered this problem when we closed it for the season, we had to manually close it and we still cant seem to get the problem fixed and the to get the slide to go out,,,it is a crossroads 30fks..any suggestions....are there more than one fuse in those lines...we located one fuse and it was tested and was ok...the generator would have fixed the problem if it was a weak or faulty battery, correct? the last responses all told us to verify that the battery was full charged so we tried the generator and still no success...dont know where else or what else to check,,,

When my battery was weak, I need to wait a minute or two once I connected to shore power to get things to operate. By chance have you check your breakers? Also, did you check to make sure your slide switch is good and battery terminals are connected properly?

If you don't hear any noise I would first question the power, then start digging into switch / motor, relays, etc.

I would recommend to always carry a spare slide switch. If you have more than one slide you can replace the switch with one of the other working ones to test. I had to do that when in the bundocks of Alaska to get a slide in, so now I carry a spare! I believe they will fail before the motors.

I was told that you need a battery in the circuit to get the slide to work. If you removed it to use the generator, that won't work. Charge the battery a tad, reinstall it and then try the slide with the unit plugged into 120v...either the generator or shore power. If you don't hear the motor working, either the motor is bad or the circuit to the motor is bad.

You can also try applying 12v directly to the motor and see what happens. If nothing happens, it's the motor.

Yes. From what I have read, some converters cannot handle the 12v slide motor without the help from the battery.
