We inadvertently ended up opening up a storage door on our 05 Cruiser with the keys of the 08 Paradise Pointe. When looking into it we found out that the keys for both units are the same. What are the chances of that or are all units keyed the same out of the factory? Does anyone haveany knowledgeifI have to worry about security in my storage?

I was at the dealer last week and one key opened all the Crossroads products storage doors. If your keys have the numbers 5, 7, and a 1 (not in that order) then all keys may be the same. Perhaps each dealer gets all products shipped to their location with a common key and your dealer has a different set of common keys.

Yep, #751 will open probably 75% or > compartment doors in any given CG you may visit. Thank God most of us are honest folk! Entry door locks are a little more individualized.

751is the magic number! You can get a different tumbler at any local hardware store and replace them. Edited by: Chrisnan23

I had a TT before the current 5er. The keys from the '92 Cobra TT were the same number as the '07 Cruiser! Some things never change.

I was told any RV storage key would open ANY RV storage. Whats the point of having a lock at all?

I think it is off to the locksmith. With 2 Honda 2000 in the storage area I do not want a surprise. Why don't they use more key combos? With that being said why even put locks on then you would atleast know that items are not secure.

While in a campground last fall, a rather distraught woman from a neighboring campsight came up to me and said her husband had left with their brand new trailer keys and she needed to get something out of one of the storage compartments. Could I give her a ride to the dealer where they bought their rig so she could get another key? Was maybe a half hour round trip. I said I could do better than that and proceeded to open her storage door with my "universal" 751 key. She was dumbfounded that I could do this as theirs was a Forest River TT. I then explained the reality of the industry-wide use of 751 locks. She thanked me and said that they'd have the dealer install new locks when they took it back from their shakedown cruise. Kind of a fun story. Then..."oh by the way, could you show me how the awning works?"

It's alot cheaper to go to the hardware store. it is mounted with a nut.

It's the same for most truck toppers too! A different # key, but one key pretty much fits all!
