Anybody have this particular surge guard?

I was thinking of wiring it into my land line and making it a permanent install inside the camper. Any thoughts??

I do not have that surge guard but I think it is a great idea to have something. I have seen lost of camper who have them mounted inside the trailers vice on the plug. It might walk away. I like the model you want because it not only checks for surges but wiring and High and LOW volts that is a plus. I wired in the power master voltage booster in my camper (much like an autoformer) to protect against the low voltage.

It is good you are thinking about this protection.

George, thanks for the feed back.
After posting, I found another thread on the same subject. I just hadn't paid much attn. to it, and I guess it didn't sink in.
I seen on there that BDLUKE is using the same surge guard.

We have the 30 amp portable version of the Surge Guard. It is secured with the Surge Guard hasp lock. In Texas one would be almost crazy not to use a surge protector. We have been very satisfied customers.

after researching the rv.net forums, I went with the progressive unit. Not difficult to wire into the trailer (I have the generator prep, so just tapped into that). Had it 2 years and have been very happy, though wife complains when the unit protects the trailer and leaves her without power.

Lloyd,

You're correct, I have that exact unit installed in my camper. So far so good. We had a good thunder storm a couple of weekends ago and it interrupted as designed when we had a break in power. The three minute delay allowed the AC compressor to restart without issue.
