Testing other people's trailers showed about 0.5 volts when testing metal parts, our daughter's showed 1.5 and ours 37.5! So 0.5 stray volts appear to be normal. I think it's time we invested in a better extension cord!

Daisy-chained TTs, step-down adapters, low-amp old cords with the ground cut off, and enough problems in your trailer to see 37 stray volts! (which will trip either a breaker or at the least the GFCI once you start using an appropriate, 30 Amp cord with a ground! You were lucky! Time not for just a new cord, but for a complete electrical inspection!
