Well it finally happen, went to the Cruiser to do a little work yep you guessed it I have a flat tire on the passenger side rear. I have a floor jack that I will use. Question 1 Do I jack it up in the middle spring hanger? or the Rear one? Question 2 do I hook it up to the truck and bring up the landing gear. Or just leave the landing gear down. It is a nail in the tire. As Long as the tire is removed I will check the brakes and seal on that side. I will more than likely remove both tire and have the valve stem replaced at the same time. I may be wrong but I wouldn't jack off the spring hanger. You could jack off the u-bolts or frame. If it was me I would block the tires on the other side front and rear and use 2 jacks off the u-bolts. I wouldn't use a floor jack, it could roll or not be stroung enough to do the picking.

When ever I jack up my 5er I use a bottle jack. Place it under the axle right between the u bolts. When I had the HH I bought a 20 ton bottle jack. Have it with me all the time.
I just changed all the tires on my 5th wheel, I used 2 bottle jacks, a wood block between the bottle jack and the bottom of the U joints lifted both at the same time, worked great no problems, I would advise you to use bottle jacks, they are alot more stable than a flor jack, lots safer, just take your time and be careful
Frank, to answer your other question, I hooked up the truck and raised the landing gear to be on the safer side. When the rims were replaced under warrantee, the local tire dealer used two floor jacks under the u-bolts. When on the road, I have one of the roll-on ramps that will raise the damaged tire off the ground.
