I saw on an earlier post about tires on the TT. What tires do you think will be better than the China junk that is on them now? What ply rating should they be? Would 6 ply be enough?

Thanks for the help,

Joe

I would look at Maxxis load range D. They have had a lot of good reviews on different forums.

Stick with 8 ply 6 ply isn't heavy enough. I assume you have 15ins. when you find a good tire let us know.

I just installed maxxis tires on our cruiser very happy with them. Get rid of the junky tires asap they are a accident waiting to happen. I saw a Mission tire come apart on a 5er and it ain't pretty.

Marathons have been made in China in the past although there is rumor some sizes are once again made in the USA. The China Goodyears have the same rep as other Chinese tires...BAD. I have not heard any bad about Maxiis. I will be buying new tires next spring and will buy Maxiis unless something else happens along.

Has anyone heard the reviews of Carlisle tires? I can get a good deal on them--but I'm not sure if they are American made or not?

Thanks,

Joe

I have a set of Carlisle tires on my trailer at this time and so far I have been happy with them. I was told at the time of purchase that they were made in the U.S. I have not attempted to verify this.
