I have had good luck with the Good Year Marathon Tires. I have about 30K miles on my current set and that's not using them full time. So they sit in a parking lot for a long time without moving. Which is bad, very bad. I highly recommend these tires and I'm personally thinking of changing to the new Endurance Good Year tires. But they are not cheap. I also recommend balancing them. But tire pressure and temperature are very important. I have a tire pressure monitoring system to help while driving. Important thing is to check the tires every time before you start driving. On travel days I check the pressure on all the tires including the truck and top off as needed. Every time I stop for fuel I do a 360 and visually inspect the tires and I use a temp gun to get reading of a tire temp and my hubs and look at the whole rig including the hitch. If you have one tire or hub that is really hot that is a sign that there may be a failure coming. Under inflation leads to side wall failure. Also don't speed! Most tires are rated for no more than 65 MPH. The Marathons say you can do 70 mph i believe, but you should increase the psi by 10 psi. My recommendation is to slow down. In the end it's safer, better on the tires and you save on fuel. Safe travels!
