Well all I finally made it backfrom another 7 month deployment and I have a question about towing. I have an 06 Chevy, 2500/DA, to me it handles my rig just fine but I had one of my camping buddies tell me it looks like the rig is to heavy for my truck, I have added the Air Ride System and Bilstein Shocks, it feels fine even though I do get a little chucking at times. Anyway he got me thinking so I started looking at the 3500 which I know is more than enough which I'd rather be safe than sorry. I do see alot of people on here pulling rigs bigger thanmine with the same truck, just wanted to seewhat the general consese is and if i'm just worrying to much.

I think your truck is fine to pull a 29CK. As you say there are many people pulling larger heavier trailers then yours with the same truck without any issues. Unless you just want to buy a 3500 I would not worry about what your buddy thinks and go have fun.

I'm pulling a 2005 CF29RK with a 2004 Dodge 2500HD CTDwithout any problems so I don't think that you have too much trailer for the truck.

I would'd drive that Furd either

I'm towing with the same truck and have never had any issues ( unless you count all those Dodges and Fords in my way ) We have had the camper and truck about as full as I would ever want or need and towed from Ohio to Taladega Al and never had any issues. You truck shouldl more more than enough.

Thanks You for your service !!!!!!

Just remember that Don lost in the truck with trailer races.

All fun aside you should have no problem.

Be better if you had a FORD but you'll be alright.

We have an '06 bone stock Silverado 2500HD/DA and it pulls our CF30SK effortlessly. Never had a problem or worry about the TV doing its job. We get the occasional bucking when we hit a rough road surface but it's nothing to write home about. I put the Allison in T/H, run it up to a 100 kliks (62.5MPH), set the cruise and let the computers do the work.

Ken, Do you honestly think Tim would sell you a rig too heavy for your tow vehicle?

I concur with the others here...your tow vehicle is just fine.

No sweat Ken! If we really want to get going we go to the truck wars thread and have fun.

The important thing is towing the CR RV and having a good time when you get there.

As far as who won the war... well...
