Trading Campers Part 1

The Cleanout.

We are in a long process - due to some health concerns - of trading for a different camper so i thought i would share a few things along the way.

We have emptied the camper and WOW i had no idea how much "stuff" was in it. Moved the truck out of the garage and quickly filled that space with all the " stuff". I have another word for it but the wife calls it "stuff" so i will go with that.

Now we have for several years had an annual purge of things we did not or have not used but guess we need to look deeper in the future. Even found doubles of somethings - guess we thought it was needed and could not find it so it was replaced only to still not be used.

So this week - we pick up the newer camper Friday - we are going thru EVERYTHING to see what goes back and what will be donated to our local help store. The wife wants to replace a few things with a newer version so i see a trip to Walmart in my future.

I guess one thing i would like to pass along is check your "stuff" there is more than you think and it all adds up quick not only in taking up space but added weight.

Since there are different phases to this process i may make a thread addressing each one.

Awesome rig!!
I do a purge every season of things we thought we needed. I've got several shelves full of stuff in the pole barn.

I spent enough time in one of those. No thank you. But probably something smaller.
