Trailer aid tire changing ramp

Just wondering if anyone has used this. Product called the trailer aid tire changing ramp. We had a flat tire last summer on I 95 and this product looks like it might have made the whole. Tire changing process a lot easier and safer.

Works well for me. They have two sizes, get the one with the higher lift.

What I like about it most is that it is quick. Being on the side of ANY road doing maintenance scares the heck out of me. Faster is better!

I have the regular height and it will get the tire off the ground but just barely. The flex suspension is the reason it just barely clears. Works fine otherwise.

I was stuck with my last trailer changing the tire with the truck scissor jack outside Charlotte NC when is was about 100 F.. When we upgraded to our Sunset Trail, I bought the ramp..hope i never have to use it.. Got it from Amazon..way less expensive than Camping World.. Here's the link.

I thought about purchasing one also. I have a 2013 Crusier Aire 5th wheel, would you have enough lift to get it off the ground for changing. Seems like a lot of flex, like somebody else had mentioned in the tandem suspension.

Just want to be sure prior to use on the side of the road.

I think it depends on where your unit is setting as to whether or not it will have enough lift to get the flat tire up enough to change. I used ours about a year ago to change a flat. The ground was not level and the flat tire did not quite clear. Just slid a bottle jack under the u-bolts for the final lift and changed the tire. Sure made changing the tire a lot easier.

At least it would give it more stability. I happen to see them at Walmart this morning and they had them for $44.

What you have to watch out for often is that you can get the axle up high enough to get the flat off, but then find out that you can't get the spare on because the fully inflated tire is taller than the flat tire.

We have it, when we used it, our trailer just flexed to allow the front tire onto the ramp while the back tire stayed on the ground. Ended up needing to use bottle Jack instead. We have a hefty floor Jack but can't get it high enough. Bottle Jack sits on our 4x6 wood blocks that we sit under the stab jacks.
