Very poor tv reception

2016 33 bdh owner. I have never had reliable reception with the antenna that came with the RV. I had the old crank up bat wing that received 30-40 channels reliably. We camp in the same place and get no reception with the ca-1500 antenna. Also the booster wall receptacle seems to be a bit janky on the back side wiring.
I have tightened all connections scan for channels on tv.
Any one have suggestions other than changing the antenna which I am willing to do.

HDTV signals are line of sight. Any obstruction i.e. trees buildings, etc. will potentially disrupt the signal. Also the bat wing antenna has a much higher position than your new one, perhaps it is too low to capture the signal?

I use this one for home on a 30' pole

30-40 channels with the crank up was pretty dang good. I’ve never gotten but maybe 8-10 but I live in the mountains.

I know you mentioned you checked the cable connections, but on an old camper I had to change some of the connectors as well because they were cheap connectors and were not installed correctly...Just a suggestion Good luck
