Hello,

This is my first de-winterization and I need help with the valves for the by-pass on the water heater. How should the 2 valves be set for normal operation? Right now I have the bottom valve open(cold water line?)and the valve in the middle of the short water line closed. Is that right?

Thanks,

Marc

By golly, that is exactly how I set mine, today.

So, either we are both wrong or both right.

And most of the time I am right.

What I did when I first had mine was get the water hooked up, turn on a hot water faucet and looked at the water heater. This way you can mess around with the valves and actually see where the water is flowing by looking at the bubbles. When you are sure there is water in the hot water heater, then you can turn it on. Finally, I wrote on the water lines with arrows so I would know what was going where. Then I traded it in.

Yup...and when you're good, you're good.

Dang...it's hard to be humble.
