On my 2011 Zinger 23FB there are only two valves near the water heater, one on the cold water inlet and one on the what appears to be the bypass. There is not one located on the hot water outlet. My question is: Is there something in the hot water line to not let antifreeze into the tank since it does not have a shut off valve, or did they forget to puta valveon? From videos on the internet it appears there is always a shut off on the hot water line too. I am a first time owner of a camper so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I winterized my Zinger for the first time last fall and I worried about the same thing. It worked just fine the way it was. Using just the 2 valves I winterized and no antifreeze went into the hot water tank.

There should be a back flow valve on the output side of the water heater that will prevent the pink stuff from going in there.

Brian is right, there is a check valve on the hot water outlet to prevent antifreeze from entering the water heater.

If some gets into the hot water tank flush real well before putting the heat to it. I say they should mark the lines better for us.
