I'm picking up a new unit on 5/2 and returning it to Virginia. The three slides generate a question with respect to water coming in around the seals. My former unit had a topper on the slide, but, would leak (believe this or not) along the lower seal. When you'd travel in the rain the wheels would naturally drive the water "up" directly to the slide seal and soak the carpeting inside the rig..Has anyone experienced the top of their slides leaking to?
Toppers are expensive! So, just how good are the Crossroads seals.?
I have not had any problems with water coming in around the slide on our unit.
I would encourage you to spend the extra $, and install the toppers on your slides. Myself I wouldn't own a rig without them.
By the way, congratulation on your new rig.

Dont have the slide toppers. Have never had them on three trailers with slides and have never had any water/leak problems. Once they stretch and loosen up a little and start flapping in the breeze they get annoying, so I have been told. JMHO.
