Water pump surging

Hey all I have a 2021 Volante 28bh and my water pump is surging when it is on. It’s like it’s not keeping pressure or has air in the system. I’ve tried multiple things and still no luck getting it to stop. Any ideas on what is causing this?

On ours if the wife has the faucet on just a little the pump will cycle on and off. Without hearing it would be hard to tell. One thing to check thou is the anti freeze valve to be sure it is closed - could be pulling air if not closed fully.

Jayegg, are you getting air and water, or just water? You need several gallons of water before the tank has a couple inches of water in it, and the pump operates without cavitation. Also make sure all your water lines are full. Run your outdoor shower and outdoor sink if you have one, hot and cold. Make sure your water heater is full by running hot water till you get no air.
Otherwise, what you are experiencing might be just normal operation. The water system has no expansion bladder, so it tries to maintain pressure between two levels, and will cycle on and off quite often.

Check the ground underneath to make certain you don't have a leak somewhere. When I de-winterized this Spring my pump kept coming on every few seconds. I checked and found that one of the hoses going to the sink in my outdoor kitchen had worked loose a little and was leaking. I tightened the connection and the leak stopped.

Okay I will double check the valve and make sure it is shut completely. I also need to go around and check all my fittings. It does seem like it’s getting air somewhere but not enough to notice at the faucets. It has great pressure but it’s just annoying with the pump surging. Thank you all for your help. This is my first camper where all of the water and hot water heater actually works so it’s a bit of a learning curve yet.
