Saris also states in the caution area of their on line instruction manual section: "not for use on any kind of trailer or recreation vehicle".
I do not understand why not, unless it is just the fact that you can not see the bikes if they come loose. The daughter was no longer using her SARIS.

We installed a couple of extra bolts to remove most of the movement.
We will also bunge cord the works to the rear bumper supports.
