What's in your "Emergency RV Kit"
Hi All,
The roof tape discussion got me thinking..
I didn't see a thread on the forum, so forgive me if it's already out there. I wanted to start a thread where everyone can talk about what's in there "emergency repair kit" they travel with.
I'm sure I'm missing so cool tools and "stuff" you good folks never leave the house without when traveling.
To start, I carry:
- a now dried up tube of Dicor
- socket set
- ratcheting wrenches
- rope
- bungees
- industrial duct tape
- pipe putty for leaks
- plumbers tape for leaks
- 12 volt compressor
- hammer
- rubber mallet
- trusty 17 foot tarp
- lighter
- car battery charger (works great in a pinch if your converter goes out)

Also,
a 30-15, a 30-50 set of adapters and extension cord
actually had Memorial day weekend trip where the 30 and 50 amp circuits were browning out on the tree, so we cut back on what we were using and ran a 110 15 amp line to the camper.

Ok I think you guys have me feeling woefully unprepared. We carry a tool kit that includes screwdrivers, socket wrenches, drill etc. Duct tape, plumbers tape, extra fuses (learned that one the hard way ), portable air compressor, battery charger/jumper, breaker bar and large wrench for adjusting hitch. DH has a few other things but not sure what. Large floor jack and a tire iron (cross bar style).
I also have for people.... Snake bite kit, ace wrap, Tylenol, Motrin, benadryl, triple antibiotic ointment, bandaids, calamine lotion, alcohol wipes (work great for mosquito and spider bites), peroxide or bactine and a few other odds and ends for injuries or allergic reactions or illness. But that is just the nurse in me.

The floor Jack works better on truck then tt. And I used to work trauma icu, so I think that's where the kit stems from.

Being a GI nurse and doing colonoscopies all day, I will hand out Miramax before I hand out suppositories. This topic has gone

I have one of those little bags like they show on the insurance commercials. I just reach in and pull out a new rv, hook up, and go on.
(If that don't run your BS detector off scale you need new batteries)

Ever since my EZ-UP almost got left behind when a stake was caught in a tree root, a cordless demolition saw (10 volt Dewalt).

You took it wrong Tim. My wife is an RN (retired) she worked in geriatrics most of her career. That is just standard arsenal in a nurses bag.
