Wheel Bearings & Seals Part #s

There have been a lot of posts recently about repacking wheel bearings, whether it be by hand or using the EZ Lube.
I plan to inspect my hubs and brakes this weekend, may even repack my beatings by hand for a change. The only problem is I can't seem to locate the part numbers for the bearings and seals so I cab have them on hand.
My axle labrels say they are Lippert 4400# but the LCI website doesn't list a 4400# axle, WTH.
I'd hate to break these down just to find I'm in need of parts and have to order them and wait several days for them to arrive.
Anyone have the part numbers needed?20200625_061548.jpg

Did a quick search and etrailer has the seals and bearings.

The 3500# and the 4400# axle share the same bearings and seals.
"just got off the phone with the parts guy at Lippert. I was trying to find out what #'s I needed for the bearings and seals for the 4400lb axles I have. Couldn't find any part #'s for 4400lb axles on the Lippert site so I called them. The Axles are rated at 4400lbs, with 10" hubs and have 3500lb axle bearings on them. Same bearing #'s (L68149, L44649) you would use if your buying bearings for any 3500lb axle. "

From another site.

When I replaced the bearings and seals on our rig, I called Etrailer with the info off the tag on the axle. Their bunch there sent me the correct stuff.

Dag is correct. 4400 lb axles are really a 5200 lb axle with a 10" brake (same brake as 3500 axle). True 5200 axles have a 12" brake.

Thanks for the part numbers for the bearing, what about the rear seals?
A call to Lippert is on my list today if someone doesn't know.

Did a search for 4400# LCI axle bearings and seals and it came up with several places to get them. I would check or call Etrailer.

Just going by the seal part number i do not believe that is for the 4400# axle. My cruiser has 5200# axles with 12" brakes and that is the seal it takes.

Good info but i think its for a higher rated axle. Don't want the OP to get the wrong parts.

Thanks for posting the part numbers for your 4400# axle.

Something to think about if you order new ones is to order a spare set - inner and outer bearing and race set and seal. I have carried one for most of my previous campers. If you loose a bearing in the middle of nowhere they will sure come in handy. Like a spare tire - nice to know you have it but hope you never need to use it.

Planning to have at least 1 spare of each, maybe more. Depends what they look like when I open them up this weekend.
Hoping to find Timken bearings, even if they cost a few dollars more.
I'll keep you posted on what I find.

I have a couple inner, outer, and the races they were paired with that I kept when I replaced all of mine. They are in good shape so I cleaned them up, repacked the bearings and that is my spare. That I hope to not ever need.

And remember there is an inner and and outer bearing for each wheel. Don't mix them up.

PapaT, see post #7 of this thread, I think someone mentioned those part numbers were 5200# axles

Well, I had to eat some humble pie this weekend. However, since is my 1st time doing this in the 5 years I've owned this trailer, I expected a few glitches.
Pulled the 1st hub to inspect the brakes and replace the wheel bearings.
Brake assy had grease residue all inside and the shoes are pretty worn. Will probably just order 4 new Dexter Nev-R-Adjust brake assemblies to take care of all that at one time. They aren't cheap for these 4400# axles., nearly $150 each... oh well, it's only money right?

On to the bearings...
Outer bearing looked good, so I will save it and the race as a spare, but the inner bearing had some pitting in both the bearing and scoring on the race.
Pressed in new races, packed the bearings and then drop in the seal... Houston, we have a problem... wrong seals
Went back, verified all my numbers and I received what I ordered, but it's the wrong size.
So now I have to find a seal ASAP. The closest place that had one was O'Reilly's, for $12 each! Went and picked it up as a temp install until I can get the new brakes and additional seals exchanged.

Man I'm gonna enjoy this 1st camping trip once it ever gets here!!
