Sorry I should have wrote in the post that theWIFI Ranger website's home page states that their product is factory installed in some units. To name a couple Crossroads, Forest River, New Horizons.

With just a quick search I saw no mention of it in the standards and options on the Rushmore or Cruiser.

It came factory installed in the elevation 3612 I just took delivery on. Also note for those of you that have one by default the wireless is encrypted. The key to accessing it is changemenow(idnumber) where idnumber is the 4 digit number in the network name. Save you a call to crossroads.

Hello All,

Can you help me out? I also have a 2013 elevation 3612, and not only am I not sure if I have one installed, but I do not know exactly what you are talking about.

I am haveing trouble with reception with everything in my rig. TV / Cell Phone / and certainly with my laptop. ( even in campgrounds with cable/ wifi )

I am very ignorant about a lot of things concerning my new rig, and this is one of them.

Can someone please fill me in on what exactly a wifi ranger is?

How do I know if I have one ?

How would I use it if I have it?, Please keep it fairly basic, The only thing that I know for sure-----Is that I don't know anything at all .

I grew up without computers / cell phones--certainly do not understand very much about them. Last night I attended a class to learn how to use my smartphone that I have had for a year.

All this new technology is very frustrating for me, and I can use all the help I can get.

Thank Y'all for all the help you have given me in the past, and any help you can give me now.

For me there is a switch on the right side of the entertainment center all by itself with the label wifi. After turning that on wait about 3 minutes or so and you should see a new wireless network called privatewifiranger.xxxx (or something similar. I'm going by memory). If you don't have the switch it may not be there. It is a white or gray box located on the roof. It creates a wifi network in your trailer and hooks your network up to wireless networks in the campground and helps with gain for that connection.
