Winter battery removal.
What do you do with your battery over the cold months of fall and winter, especially in the northern states?
Do you leave it in or remove to your house?

I have two deep cycle 6 volts. I pull the battery cables off and hook up a battery minder.
Been doing it that way foe many years.

Bring the battery into the garage and hook up to a battery minder as Lloyd does. Trailer is stored 25 miles away.

I remove mine and put it in the shop. Then put it on a charger every now and then along with the mowers batteries.

I leave my battery connected in place. I keep the trailer plugged into a 120v circuit, so the trailer keeps it charged. I have a Flow-Rite Qwik-Fill system attached to the battery and make sure it is full when I winterize the camper and check it during the winter. I also leave dehumidifier turned on inside. I run the small drain hose outside at the corner of the slide and then close the slide. Of course, the trailer is parked in a carport in my backyard.

I use to remove mine for over the winter, and occasionally read them with a multi meter and charged them accordingly. I've since added solar and 3 group 31 batteries and I think it'll be better to leave them in, with the solar controller and solar panels all in work mode. I will still watch what the shunt and battery monitor is reading weekly as I do my rodent patrol/control...Realisticially I think its really preference, but if your keeping your trailer in cold storage without access to electricity or where distance is an inconvenience to monitor your batteries charge, Id be taking them out. There to expensive to not monitor and let them go dead and be ruined....

I pretty much do the same.. remove the battery and keep it in the basement where it's pretty warm. I just use a maintainer to keep it happy

I have 4 six volt wet cell batteries and solar panels on the roof with a charge controller stored outside. It sends a trickle charge to the batteries as needed throughout the day. Even when panels are under 2 to 4 inches of snow, sufficient sunlight gets through for a trickle charge even 3 hours north of the US border in Alberta. If I happen to go to the trailer while in storage, I can still use the lights and if working in there for any length of time I can still run the furnace. I’ve been doing this since I bought the trailer in 2008. Only on the second set of batteries. Although the last two winters I’ve lived in it in Florida, but I’m storing it here for the winter again in Canada this winter, and still works fine. The batteries never freeze due to the trickle charge from solar panels during the day.

I used to take it out, but after working at a marina in Ontario and seeing boat batteries as much as 10yrs. old still in good shape I now just disconnect the negative cable and leave it in place. That is what is done at the marina and have not had any issues in the last 4 years

I used to leave the 2 deep cycle AGM in and let the solar keep them topped up through winter.
Now with lithium, I drain to 60% and pull out for winter. To much money invested to run a chance of damage.

For the price of those batteries I'd put them in a safe deposit box for the winter.

I do the same with my camper, golf cart, lawn mowers and vehicles I don’t use in the winter
Haven’t had problems yet
