2021 Crossroads Cameo MK

We upgraded from a 2011 298RE TT To a Cameo 5th wheel. Looking forward to hearing from you on the goods and the bads. Also any tip you may have on hauling a 5th wheel.

Welcome aboard, from one Wisconsinite to another.
Cameo is a pretty nice looking rig.
What model did you get?

I think you will find the 5th wheel much easier to tow. You might want to practice in and empty parking lot to get the feel of how short they turn, and the backing up. You sure don't want to end up hitting the cab on the nose cone.
Have you got a slider hitch?

Hello And Welcome!

I think you will like the way a 5th wheel handles. Just remember the cab to nose clearance if you have a short box and be sure you have plenty of clearance between the overhang and the bed rails. About 6" is preferred for going over uneven ground so the box and camper have plenty of clearance and even the sometimes it gets close.

Sounds like you got a nice setup there. Congrats. Yea go to a parking lot and let someone watch from outside and see how sharp you can turn. Should be able to turn almost sideways with that setup; depending how the front is. You’ll enjoy how it pulls over a TT.
