Hi All
I just bought a new Sunset Trail 30RK. I left it with the dealer for the winter and will take possession in May, 2013. Is it possible to download a user manual and measurements of the vehicle?

DEBKE,

Congrats on the new camper.

I'de go back to the dealer and get the entire package that comes with the trailer. Lots of winter reading material. As for measurements, you should be able to get them on line, the manual too...it would be quite a down load.

I am sure it starts on the date of purchase, and I am ok with that. I need the time to prepare a lot at the campground where I keep it. I registered the unit today online with Crossroads. In MD, a warranty starts the earlier of the date of manufacture or the date of purchase. Registering the warranty with the maufacturer establishes that. By the way, I bought an extended warranty from the dealer so I am comfortable burning a few months on the front end.

Congrats on your purchase. The dealer should have given you a package with the manuals from all of the appliances. I assume the manuals are in the trailer when it is delivered to the dealer.

From the "manual":

This Limited Warranty extends only to the first retail purchaser and begins on the date of original retail delivery, or the date the recreational vehicle is first placed into service (whichever occurs
first).

I am sure the dealer will give me the manual and everything else when I pick up the unit in the spring. They are very nice and on top of things like that. I thought it would be nice to have have an electronic copy of the manual too.

Thanks for the input all. I know I willpick up the manuals when I take possession in the spring. CrossRoads emailed a copy of the manual for now. When I asked about the drawing with all of the measurements, they said that they could not do so because it was proprietary. They said I could measure the new unit all that I wanted for reconfiguring my lot where I intend to keep it most of the time.

Congratulations. We picked ours up last week. The floor plan was perfect for couples and at the same time it can accomodate the occasional friends or family sleepover. Hope you have as much fun with yours, as we hope to have with ours
