Picked up my new ST 30RE last week. Couple of small items noted during PDI. About 15 LED's on the canopy not working. Little shelf over the popup TV warped. The dealer took picks to send off to CR for warranty claims. Then today the fabric on the door to the bedroom pulled puff the plastic frame. Called dealer and they want to take a pic to send off to CR. Seems CR needs to see proof (pictures) before they will approve claims. It appears it can take 4 to 5 weeks to get parts for warranty work.

Head out for my first trip this weekend. Hopefully there will be no other issues. Fortunately I have to drive right by the dealer to get to the campground, so I'll stop in so they can look at the door.

Same experience with my Cruiser Patriot. Lights burned out on awning. wanted pictures. took only 2 weeks for the lights to come in, have to set up appointment now. That has been the extent of my problems with the new RV.. been out twice and have it set up in driveway. Must have moved the slides in and out about 25 times now and thankfully no issues. Been thru about 6 heavy rain storms with the slides in and out and no problems.

Good luck with your repairs and RVing.

That is one of the most frustrating things about RV warranty work. It isn't just Thor, Forest River is the same way. The dealer has to prove there is a problem, then wait for factory approval to fix. I had several relatively minor warranty repairs on my last new Forest River, and thankfully my dealer fixed most of them then waited for approval and their money. Some dealers won't do that, though. That's why I say the dealer is more important than the manufacturer.
Hope you enjoy your new camper and have great luck with it!

Interesting that those lights on the awning seem to be a common problem. We had that and did get it fixed under warranty. When we got it back the main slide didn't work. got that fixed, and now the kitchen slide does not work, so it is back in the shop. The dealer has had it many more weeks than I have.
