My family finally decided to take the plunge into RV ownership! We had a set of features we were looking for, including bunk beds for the kids, a dedicated queen bed for us (one that didn't require unfolding the couch to use), a slideout if possible, etc. The challenge was finding these features for around 4000 lbs empty (in order to leave enough capacity to safely haul our gear).

After visiting a local RV show we were initially disappointed as most of the units that met our requirements did not have any slides and were still around 4600 - 4800 lbs. After visiting a couple of RV dealers in the area we finally stumbled across the SlingShot 29bhs that had all of these features AND was just less than 4200 lbs.

We took delivery of it this past weekend and are very excited! It is a lot of information to take in, but I have learned a LOT about RV ownership by reading through this forum. Thanks to everyone that takes to the time to answer questions here. Now we just need the snow to melt and the weather to warm up so we can use it!
