Hello

Hello All!

My wife and I are picking up our first TT on Thursday, a Sunset Trails 239BH, and excited to step up from Tent camping with our two boys.
Thank you to everyone who add input and info to all
of us newbys.

See you all around.
-Sean

Welcome to the forum. Since this is your first TT, make yourself familiar with the pre-delivery checklist. I made a video of the walk through when we closed on our TT. Take your time with the walk thru. There is no such thing as a dumb question and don’t let the dealer intimidate you. Decide before you meet with them if you want the extended service contract. If anything needs to be fixed, adjusted or replaced, you can always pick it up tomorrow. A number of us couldn’t wait for our new TT and I had a couple of problems getting things fixed. Good luck to you and make years of memories.

Welcome Sean to the forum. Great place for answers.

As stated, take your time on the PDI. After all the trailer systems have been demonstrated to you that they work, and you understand them, you can continue to look over the trailer for anything else that needs fixing. Many inform the tech that they can stay or go, but just be sure to take your time. If you take the trailer with issues, getting them corrected after the sale can be very time consuming. The dealer has no incentive to expedite anything for you at that time. Some will not sign the paperwork until PDI is over and things corrected.

There is at least one PDI Checklist in the “Documents” section of this forum. I suggest you take it with you if you don’t already have one.

Let us know how it goes. Have fun!

Welcome.

2 of the best things I ever did was 1, buying my first TT and 2nd leaving CA.

But it is a beautiful state.

Thank you all,

I printed up the PDI checklist and will be bringing it tomorrow. Thankfully I have a meticulous wife for the visual things and I will be more on the mechanical and the boys will be with grandparents for the day.

MarkandKim, That's hilarious, I would love to leave CA but my career keeps me here for another 20ish years.

I will post a pic, after all is finished and she's home safe.

Welcome Sean, if you enjoy your TT half as much as we do, you'll have an absolute blast.

Safe travels new friend.
