Hello Everyone!

My name is Ed, my wife Jen and I bought our first camper this year. We bought a 2017 Sunset Trail Grand Reserve 33RE. We decided on the 33RE because of the amount of room in the common area. We didn't want all beds and no space for bad weather. I grew up camping but my wife had never been. It was hard getting her to camp until she saw how nice these campers are inside.

We have a son who is enjoying all the camping. We have been to 13 different places in our first season including a 10 day trip to New England.

Welcome, nice camper. Wheres all the pics?

Where else did you go on your 13 trips, assuming mostly NE US.

We also wanted to make sure we had a lot of common space for bad weather. One of the main reasons we sold the popup was every trip ended up rainy, snowy, cold etc even when the forecasting said it would be lovely. So we'd be packed into a small space with little kids.

welcome.

The biggest draw back to that floor plan is the tv in the end, every seat in the house has to turn 90 degrees to watch it. Our 1st rv was that way & we swore never again, the tv would be directly across from the recliners or couch, no more stiff necks.
Very nice rig though, congratulations.

Nice rig! Camping with kids isn't always easy, but certainly worthwhile. We've camped all over the country with our kids and even though they're all getting close to leaving the nest, they still talk about our adventures.

The slides across from each other give you a incredible amount of space.

Welcome to the forum! My wife and I have opposing slides with rear entertainment center. We have the sofa on the end with recliners across from the TV. We like the space that the opposing slides allow.
