Just recently purchased a new 2012 Crossroad Cruiser 28RKX sight unseen with delivery mid June.
I would love to hear from other Crossroad Cruiser travel trailer owners for comments and tips. Obviously, not actually seeing the unit and spending countless hours on-line trying to learn as much as possible has made me quite excited. Does anyone else on forum have the same floor plan?

Mark,
Congratulations on your purchase. The 28RKX was my first TT, and it served us well. We had virtually no problems with it at all. We installed a 21" TV in BR and it worked fine, also installed the Oxygenic's Showerhead, that was all we did. We did put noodles on the chair arms as the chairs will bump together as you travel and will get marred. Our only reason for trading it in was the fact that we are now full-timing and needed something that would hold more "worldly" possessions needed for full-timing. I trust your new unit will serve you well...take care of it and it will take care of you. We will be in Quebec City in late June, staying at Orleans CG for 4 nights, then on to Montreal for a week or so.
Travel well,
Jim

Congratulations on your new camper and welcome to the forum. I have only owned my Cruiser fiver for a couple of months, but so far we love it. If the newer ones are built like the older ones, you should be happy with it. Mine is an 07 model, but I am really impressed with how it is built.

Hi Jim,
<div style="text-align: left;">Thanks for the tips and I'll make sure the chairs are protected while traveling. Tell me more aboutOxygenic</span>shower head and why you felt the need to change it? It says a lot to me that you stayed with Crossroad RV when you upgraded to a fifth wheel.<div style="text-align: left;">Enjoy your trip to the Quebec area in June. Although I work in Quebec, my permanent residence is in southern Ontario. I work at the furtherest north area of Quebec that roads can take you, at the north end of James Bay. I'll be bringing the trailer up here after I pick it up in Ontario and enjoy some vacation time in central Ontario. I've read about concerns on the tires on these trailers and it is a concern as the James Bay highway is 750 KM in the middle of nowhere. Although paved, it's a rough road and pavement heats up and can be hard on the best tires. As far as taking care of it, that's a given, I've always maintained vehicles and trailers so they are in top shape and fix little things before they become big. I just sold my 7 year old Gulfstream and the new owners couldn't believe what great shape it was in. I plan on this one to be around for a while.

Mark,
The Oxygenics saves a little more water than the standard model does...I installed it because many others had spoken well of it...and we do enjoy it. Now, my only other suggestion to you on the James Bay Highway would be this...travel the speed limit...most problems with these tires seems to come from driving too fast and overheating, IMHO. I never go over 60 and more often I drive slower than that...not only for the tires, but it does help the MPG's, which is equally important.
Travel well,
Jim

Mark, congrats on the new unit. Is that a sliding glass entry door on that unit?

Thank You, and yes it is a sliding patio style door. Was quite intrigued with the idea. I hope it'll stand up with the many miles of travel I'll be doing.

Glad to hear good things about older model. We picked up a 2011 26RKX about a month ago but due to the great Michigan weather havent been able to get it out yet other than to load stuff from the old one into it. Have heard others speak about the Oxygenetic shower head so going to do some research on it as well. Good luck on your new one Mark and enjoy.

Welcome to the forum. Great looking rig with the sliding door. We bought our Seville with out seeing it from the dealer. We had been looking at it closer to home with wishful thoughts, but then another dealer gave us a better trade in. Found out later he had a buyer picking up our old onethe next day.
Enjoy your new rig.

Just picked up my new unit this week and loving it. A few minor glitches, but mainly with the dealer being too busy, unorganized and over booking. The patio door is a real conversation starter for sure. Time to get camping.

Good Morning Tator447,
I getting ready to install a tv also on our new purchase 5th wheeler. I was curious on what which tv wall mount you went with and where ,if you purchased it online. The mounting area is over to the side wall at the foot of the bed and wondering ir I can get by with a tilt or have to go with one thats on an arm. Thanks
Richard

Congrats on the new rig . And if you bought it from the dealer next to Barrie , did they do a thorough PDI ? Did the check the sani-t-flush for leaks? I bought mine sight unseen from that dealer and delivered to me with both above things unfinished. Had to do things properly myself with the help from the guys at CR.
take care and bring an extra spare tire with you on that long road....
